Fun Family Life

Our entire family is trekking West to Breckenridge, Colorado to celebrate our eldest son's 50th birthday (Jerry) and his son's high school graduation (Ryan)! We'll all be staying at the Grand Timber Lodge. Everyone's excited. Jerry has written out all sorts of activities available in the area such as horse back riding, mountain climbing (his forte), hiking, biking & white water rafting.

Ron and I moved to Florida four years ago mainly for Ron's health. Five of our six families still live in Michigan. Jerry & Anne and their kids, Ryan and Lauren, live outside of Denver in Centennial, Co. Our Colorado family has never had a Grandma and Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles, or tons of cousins sitting in the stands wildly cheering for them or blowing out birthday candles. Well, some of us, on occasion. But this day...20 plus cousins and 10 aunts and uncles will be showering them with big squeezing hugs and lots of kisses on their turf!

Our entire family also gathered last August, 2009, in Northern Michigan for Ron and my 50th Wedding Anniversary. I remember really good seafood, Lake Michigan waves pounding the shore, sand in our toes, long walks, eating ice cream cones, and talking, early morning swims, late night talks; one til morning!! Lake Michigan was the perfect setting for everyone to just hang out together; like we had all the time in the world. It was wonderful!

Ron and I are so blessed with our large family. We're now seeing grandchildren give their lives to Jesus Christ. So far, two are in Christian Ministry. Our college graduates are serving in their communities. Nicole is a Registered nurse working in a Chicago Hospital. Michelle is a Dental Assistant in Michigan. Andrew is at Michigan State University/Dental, Nathan at Hope College in Pre-law, and Amanda at Cornerstone University in Accounting/Finance. Now Ryan has been accepted at the University of Colorado. He's undecided on a major at this point.

We also pray as our wholesome teenage girls wage war against the promiscuity rampant in their schools...the young teens opting to wear the Purity Ring. Praise God for kids willing to stand up for righteousness at the possible expense of being rejected! It's tough for teenagers to stand alone! But... when they have Christ, they're not alone :-) And when they have a fun loving family, they're not alone.

"Fun Family life" is Key. But... this only happens when the parents first three priorities in life are in Divine Order according to the Scriptures:

1) God is their first priority 2) Their marriage is second, 3) Their children are their third priority.

Following God's order results in a life of Good Fruit! Good fruit is delicious, pleasing, delightful, rewarding, enjoyable, good, gratifying, rich, sweet, and pleasant. This is God's intent for all families!

God so loves us!

Box of Letters

January 2010

I was just looking through the box of letters and e-mails I've received over the past year from people who's lives were touched by Heaven Has Blue Carpet. The Lord will work through anyone (willing and available) to get His message across to all people, "I Love You!"

A great number of the people who contacted me shared how they had been set free from a spirit of rejection after enduring years of misery! And many shared, through various stories, how they finally feel good about themselves for the first time in their lives! Several referred to themselves as," happy bummer lambs". One woman in her late 70's said, "I've been in prayer lines, deliverance sessions, read books on rejection and nothing helped me. Then I read your book. I cried and cried until there were no more tears. I am now free from that horrible rejection for the first time in my life and boy does it feel good!"

I received a wonderful letter from Tina Hutchison, from Holding Out Hope Ministries. Tina ministers weekly the Hope of Christ to the inmates at the Tennessee Prison for Women and to women on Death Row in the United States. Tina shared how she used my book for a bible study and how at one point, all the women were crying. She sent me her notes. Tina is an awesome woman of God and a beautiful singer. You can order her worship CD, Hope Inside. Visit her ministry at www.HoldingOutHope.org.

Tina's Scripture (and one of mine) is Isaiah 61:1-3

"He has sent me to BIND UP the broken hearted, to PROCLAIM freedom for the captives and RELEASE from darkness for the prisoners...to BESTOW on them a CROWN OF BEAUTY instead of ashes...and a garment of PRAISE instead of a spirit of despair..."

Four people felt strong enough to send me an e-mail telling me they were reading my book out loud (to: their neighbor in the hospital/woman in a nursing home/lady alone in a trailer and can't see to read/ her husband who can no longer read) and what a blessing it was for them. I believe it was primarily Christ's love flowing through them into their neighbor that blessed both of them! Read Isaiah 61:1-3 again.

I received tons of really enjoyable letters. How about this fun little note from an Attorney from Michigan. He and his wife flew to Los Angeles and stayed with family members and they went to their church for the Christmas Eve service.
"It was one of those 20,000 member churches that looks like a small college campus, complete with two recording studios, a sit-down restaurant, a man-made lake, a huge bookstore, etc. I was shaking my head at the sheer materialism of the whole experience when I noticed a purple and blue book with the picture of a sheep on the cover prominently displayed in the middle of one of the tables as I entered the bookstore. Then everything was right with the world again :-)"

I try hard to answer every letter as quickly as possible and I pray for every contact...continuing in prayer for many. I want to be a good steward of God's little sheep book!

Love,
Sharon Niedzinski
